Student Run Business |

GEO students have the opportunity to learn about business and the world beyond their neighborhood through real business experience. They run their own company, EAT From the Garden, marketing and selling their two crowd-pleasing salsa products, and handling the bookkeeping, inventory and operations details that keep the business going and growing. They oversee their products moving from seed to consumers, learning through field trips to farm, processor and bottler. Besides acquiring valuable business skills, they gain experience with planning and follow through, financial management, and public speaking, as they increase their self confidence and have fun working with their friends. All proceeds from our products go directly towards the salsa business project, youth scholarships and educational field trips.
